Life and career with or without BURNOUT?

Updated: Jun 21, 2023

If the truth is that BURNOUT has a destructive impact on your LIFE and CAREER

The truth is also that addressing burnout can give you FREEDOM and ENERGY in life and FAST PROGRESSION in your career.

As the Mental Health UK organisation explains:

Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion.

It can occur when you experience long-term stress in your job, or when you have worked in a physically or emotionally draining role for a long time.

Burnout is also related to personal life demands and pressure.

Common signs of burnout:

🚩 Feeling tired or drained most of the time

🚩 Feeling helpless, trapped and/or defeated

🚩 Feeling detached/alone in the world

🚩 Having a cynical/negative outlook

🚩 Self-doubt

🚩 Procrastinating and taking longer to get things done

🚩 Feeling overwhelmed

The other interesting fact about burnout is...

That it doesn't go away on its own rather, it can worsen unless you address the underlying issues causing it.

If you ignore the signs of burnout, it could cause further harm to your physical and mental health in the future.

You could also lose the ability and energy to effectively meet the demands of your job which could have knock-on effects on the other areas of your life.

So... years ago I wasn’t even aware that I'm in burnout.

And like everything else in my life I thought I can handle the situation on my own.

I thought that changing a job, taking time off, and exercising would help me

But it didn’t! 💁🏼

The old well-known physical and emotional exhaustion came back quickly.

Then I learnt that BURNOUT IS A CYCLE and it will repeat until I address the cause.

I have found support from mentors, trainers, coaches, and therapists and completed courses to understand burnout and myself better.

And then it was as if the heavy dark cloud of the burnout lifted.

(I have started to see my life in colours 🌹)

Then I was able to move forward at full speed.

⭐️ I gained clarity about my career steps.

⭐️ Every next role was a better fit for me.

⭐️ My productivity, happiness, positivity, and energy increased,

⭐️ My creativity, focus and passion for my profession as well.

⭐️ I could address any challenges effectively.

⭐️ My personal and professional relationships also improved.

⭐️ And I found the work-life rhythm I always wanted...

So I am curious about your story...

Have you ever experienced burnout?

How do you spot burnout symptoms? What do you do to support yourself?
