Simple way to recognise whether you experience stress or burnout

Bouncing back after a stressful day or burning out?

If your experience is similar to mine and my clients

✔️ You probably don’t like being stressed out

✔️ You probably feel blocked and uncomfortable while stressed

✔️ You may not be performing well under the pressure

✔️ You would like to get rid of the stresses from your life

✔️ You would like to feel relaxed and peaceful

✔️ You would like to be motivated without experiencing any pressure

The thing is that stress is inevitably part of our lives.

We can’t get rid of it completely.

But as we experience it at work and while progressing in our careers

We do want to make sure it doesn’t block our performance,

And that we can feel relaxed and rest well after experiencing stress at work.

I remember the impact of stress on me, and how it made me feel.

I wasn’t performing at my full potential and capacity.

But the problem for me wasn’t in stress itself.

It was in feeling exhausted - burnout out.

The moment I started addressing burnout

I started to bounce back after experiencing stress and pressure.

And work and life became easier to manage.

Performing well wasn’t an issue anymore.

Where are you now with stress and burnout?

Here are a quick self-check and reflection points 🧐

Bouncing back after experiencing stress:

After a stressful day at work, you have some recovery and relaxation time, and the next day, you have the energy and passion to deal with work and challenges again.

vs

Signs of burnout:

You feel exhausted and worried about work, so you are not recovering effectively in your free time.

The next day at work, you still feel stressed out, about what happened the day before, and you lack the energy and excitement to face another day and challenges at work.
