Why am I so sensitive? Why do I care so much?
I'm too emotional, and there must be something wrong with me.
All other people seem to deal with life better than me.
Often Highly Sensitive People go into this self-doubt and self-blame thinking trap...
Why?
Because somewhere in their life, they learnt that:
High Sensitivity is a weakness.
And Highly Sensitive People are fragile, too sensitive, shy, overly emotional.
In the meantime, based on research, we know that:
🔅 20% of the population is Highly Sensitive. That makes 1 in 5 people Highly Sensitive.
🔅 High Sensitivity is a natural trait (like the colour of your eyes).
🔅 Highly Sensitive People are more attuned to their emotions.
🔅 Highly Sensitive People are more perceptive and aware of their environment.
🔅 Highly Sensitive People can be outgoing. They merely need more time to process their emotions and the emotions of those around them before engaging in social situations.
🔅 Highly Sensitive People can handle stress very well. They simply need more time to process and recover from difficult situations.
If you sometimes get into a Highly Sensitive Person's thinking trap...
